'09 Stakeout Part 5 - Warm water Bussy
After exhausting the water in NE Quebec, and with word that minbus was almost in, we rallied back through the night to the Ottawa Valley. Here are some new angles on this classic wave.

Patrick Camblin flies into the Petite Mecatina river tomorrow morning...
'09 Stakeout Part 4 - Searching for Waves
The main goal of the Stakeout is to find new waves. We paddle rivers in flood and search for spots with potential, sometimes we find waves and sometimes we don't. Waiting for levels to rise is often involved. Here some photos from a fun but not particularily productive part of the '09 Stakeout. Thanks to Steve Fisher for some of the shots.
'09 Stakeout Part 3 - Black Mass
The Lac. St. Jean area boasts many rivers and some truly world class high volume runs. The Mistassibi is one of them, and when it floods it holds one of Quebec's best waves, Black Mass.
'09 Stakeout Part 2 - The Ruins
As the Stakeout rolled on we were graced with some quality days at The Ruins... Just minutes from downtown Ottawa, The Ruins is a fast and fun wave formed by water consticted by the remnant walls of an old mill. There are major hazards (fatal sieves) formed by some of the other structures so some local knowledge/common sense is a good idea before paddling out.
'09 Stakeout Part 1
Just another typical stakeout situation... We waited and the waves came, starting with some buseater action. Then the level rose and the dormant monster awoke. GLADIATOR. Check out the new Kayak Session for info on this incredible wave. Featuring Ben Marr, Patrick Camblin, Joel Kowalski, Rush Sturges and Steve Fisher.
Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia
From the Philippines, the boys set off for a waterfall session in Vietnam. The Srepok river, outside of Buon Ma Thot, offers easily accessible waterfalls with many lines to choose from. Patrick and Ben were part of the first group to run these drops a couple years earlier while filming for the 'Young Gun Productions' flick, SOURCE. The group enjoyed a few days of warm water waterfalling before heading off to see more of the area and then flying home for the '09 Stakeout in Quebec.
